Delivering Social Value in Lambeth with Earlswood Homes

Solve Social Value is delighted  to be supporting Earlswood Homes in delivering their S106 Employment, Skills obligations for a new 14-home development in Lambeth.

From contract award, we guided Earlswood through the initial S106 engagement  process, using the Solve Platform  to map out deliverables across the 18-month construction programme. Acting as their in-house social value manager, and working in close collaboration with Earlswood’s Project Manager, we’ve led the  interface with Lambeth’s Employment & Skills and Inclusion teams, attending 6 weekly meetings and providing timely reporting to meet Lambeth’s reporting KPIs.  This has ensured smooth communication, proactive planning, and measurable impact.

With the project on track for completion in December 2025, we’re proud to report that all obligations are on target to being met—Solve’s collaborative approach ensuring an effective focus on outcomes.

Chris Gwillam, Regional Director Earlswood Homes, shared:

“Solve has been instrumental in helping us agree a practical and deliverable  Employment and Skills Plan with the Council, avoid large financial penalties through non delivery and attended several community events on our behalf.  It’s been vital to the project’s success and key to discharging our planning conditions. Solve has simplified the process for us, and we’ve learnt a lot from their guidance. The monthly performance  reports generated by the Solve Platform are also incredibly useful reporting progress back to Earlswood’s Board”

Some of the successes Solve have supported:

  • A local resident employed as a labourer, trained and upskilled to banksman, now working full time on site
  • Another Lambeth resident working as a telehandler, now progressing through a Level 5 NVQ in Construction Management and set to remain in full-time employment after project completion
  • Completion of two work smart activity days on Earlswood’s behalf including sharing interview  skills with students and options for careers in construction

With just a few more targets to achieve, Solve are proud to continue helping make meaningful, lasting impact for the local Lambeth community.
